7.1.2 Beta sign up page.

From all that has been posted here and on many other forums as well, the general consensus is people that never had any other issues with any other phones in their same residences without upgrading routers etc as well as myself have never experienced this with any other handset. Even people with other phones with the same carriers have no issues with their phones until they added a pixel to their household

Ok, since updating to 7.1.2, my Google feed has quit working right. I have to either reboot or force stop the Google app to make it show the cards. Anybody else seeing this?

I have annoyed the Pixel Gods - can't sideload any OTA images either - I am in Pixel Beta Hell

ETA - any suggestions on how to leave the beta program appreciated.
You can flash the full factory image of 7.1.1, that should work and take you back.

I have tried flashing the NMF26U and the NOF26W versions - phone is not enrolled in beta any longer
rebooted or shut down the phone several times - enrolled-unenrolled from beta program several times
when originally enrolled in beta - side loaded the image - didn't come OTA

When 7.1.1.came out I sideloaded the "V" version - there was an article stating the V was for Verizon, which was later corrected to state it was for Europe. I don't know how, but I suspect this somehow caused the issues I am having now - MAYBE
When I enrolled the Blue Pixel, on the "U" version of 7.1.1, the beta version appeared right away, but I didn't down load it.

The pic above showing adb "total xfer: 1.oox" - after image sideloaded - OR - I it says couldn't flash because version on phone is newer than what I'm trying to flash

I have no idea what to try now - I may just leave it alone and see if the "unenroll" image ever shows up.
This is one area I like computers better - I could format the drive and restore a good image, or throw in a new SSD if needed.

Maybe I could sell the phone as is:
FOR SALE: - Unique Black 32 GB Pixel - used by Grandad to text Grandkids once in a while - no marks or scratches - sits in cupboard 99.67% of the time - locked into the 7.1.2 beta OS -

I've taken up enough space here - and I need coffee - LOTS of coffee.

The only time I have seen the hollow bar in the past few days is when I am traveling to and from work, and it only happens when I am right by electrical towers. As soon as I am past them, it goes back. Not by much but it moves ever so slightly. I have not seen them in my house yet for the past few days. Prior to this I used to see them in various rooms. Been going into those rooms where I had the hollow bar and not able to currently produce the bars.

Over all though, I am still seeing -114dBm to -110dBm practically everywhere. I can start off with -114, move the phone to my other hand and it jumps to -110 and -108 the lowest. Way too much fluctuation with very little movement as far as I am concerned. Very unstable no matter how I look at it. Tested a few phone calls tonight without Wi-Fi and Airplane mode. Dropped both of them after several minutes. Enabled Wi-Fi and Airplane mode and no issues of course. As far as I am concerned it's going to take a little more then just a few points of dBm to make a significant difference. The real test is the calls, which unfortunately I am not able to make unless I am on Wi-Fi with airplane mode toggled on. My signal bar does move around quite often without any kind of favorable results. Moves too much to the left and not enough to the right for my taste.

When I can make a normal phone call unassisted in any way from my office which I could with any other phone I have ever used, then I will see things as getting accomplished. Until that day, it's still a failure
I believe hollow bar has something to do with either Pixel, or Nougat and certain sets of Verizon towers. We are all running Nougat in one form or another. And upgrading doesn't help the poor signal issue. So I am not sure what that is. My Pixel competes very well with every other Verizon phone signal wise. I would lean to a bad batch of transceivers in certain LOT's of Pixels.

I had one bug where it crashed the pixel launcher and the feed wouldn't come back till I rebooted.

This keeps happening. The Google feed is out more than it is in for me right now. That sucks, because it is one of my favorite time kills to scroll down the list . . .

I am not having this issue - and agree on the "time kill" thing - doesn't seem to be any great consistency with the Pixels - EXCEPT - for the supply - that is consistently bad.

Matty032 Don't you think if the issue was due to a bad batch of transceivers it would have been corrected by now? Especially since some pixel owners have waited for two months to get this phone and then when they do they suffer from the exact same issues? In the real world, quality would have stepped in at this point just my two cents

As mentioned above - black pixel is on 7.1.2 beta, even though it it was unenrolled and shows it is not enrolled on beta page.
My question, is there a way to "format", like a computer SSD, the phone and flash a new image to it?

I'm just thinking it has to be hardware at this point. We are running the same software. And not all of us have weak signal. Google seems to not be able to fill orders as it is. And I have yet to hear that Google even seems to admit there is a problem. All the android websites talk about is the crackling sound issues, and bluetooth pairing, stuttering issue. There was the band 4 write-up. But all the websites say that was fixed. I have yet to see a news story about hollow bar, or no signal. So, I am not sure they would recall the bad LOT. Let me ask you this, is this your first phone with advanced calling?

All this effort and a dozen theories. And that's all they are....theories. Still nothing definitive. Since you guys have several replacement s and they all have the same problems, only advice I can offer is get a different brand phone if your able to.

Anyone who with 7.1.2 get the security patch for Feb? My son's pixel running 7.1.1 got it. My xl is on the beta test and nothing. I am all for getting to test new features and helping spot bugs is great but not at the cost of security in general.

I think the security patch is included in the 7.1.2
