7.1 app shortcut feature.... Too little, too late for Android, I'm afraid

The app shortcut feature is pretty cool, but it is too little too late for this feature as it doesn't feel baked-in natively, and feels more like a 3rd party Launcher app gimmicky feature.

I'm Comparing this to the 3d touch method on the new iPhones, of course....

Perhaps it caught me on an off moment. I'm just still up in the air on how all this will pan out.... I'm hoping for the best. I'm gonna go hands on with a pixel in a store today to experience the long press in its native ecosystem and then reevaluate.

I do love the new 24/7 support feature, however. They called me back in less than 5 seconds... I was blown away!

No hard feelings...



It will be interesting to see how some people who have been using action Launcher for years, for example, will like this new implementation.
