7/16/2012 NO CHARGE OR EMAIL (GP Check-in Thread)

Mine also shipped today. I never did get an email from Google, but when I checked Wallet this morning it had the tracking info. I'm out of town and flying home today so I haven't seen it yet, but my husband said it arrived safely. Looking forward to playing with it when I get there!
 
Just for off the phone with Google support regarding the June 28th order with case. Guy was nice enought , but pretty clueless. He verified that he had no tracking information yet for me on file First he told me that all 16GB orders would ship by the 19th. When I informed him that today was the 20th, he apologized and said things have been crazy this week. Can't really blame him there!

He then put me on hold to get some updated info. He claimed that Google is having issues sending out tracking numbers and that my account has showed some activity and I should receive it today. The UPS delivery is usually very late in my apartment building so maybe it will arrive today, but there is just as big a possibility that they guy was giving me lip service as he could not provide me with a tracking number. The package room in my building opens @ 7pm in my building and I'll let you guys know how things go...

Good luck, I hope you get it. I ordered on 6/28 also and was totally prepared to get it next week. I was surprised that I got the tracking information this morning. You just never know, I got the notification from UPS this morning but, didn't hear from Google until this evening a few hours before I received my tablet. Have you signed up for UPS Mychoice, it's free and I highly recommend it, if you haven't already.
 
I finally got my July 6 order from Google...such a sad horrible process. I actually received my device before I received my shipping email from Google.
 
Well - it was just lip service. I did not receive any packages today. When I got back from checking I got an email from Google with a tracking number, but it's only for the N7 and the case is shown as not shipped yet. Clicking on the tracking number only indicates that a shipping label has been printed, and the estimated delivery date is Monday.

Happy that I finally received a tracking number, but still very unhappy about how this process has played out. If they weren't going to ship me the case there was absolutely no reason to delay my order until Monday.

BTW - I am now receiving my N7 in late July, not the mid July I was promised at the time of my pre-order, which was placed on the second day pre-orders were available (6/28). At this point I don't think anyone can still think that Google handled the launch properly. I really am considering writing a letter to Larry Page to vent my frustration and suggest he take a lesson from Amazon, Apple and other retailers that actually know how to satisfy a customer.

Hopefully my N7 arrives with no issues, otherwise I may just return it for a refund and stick with my iPad. I wanted to get this tablet to check out Android and see what it has to offer. At this point my Google Android tablet experience has been somewhat tainted and if the unit is not flawless, will probably be irreparably damaged.
 
Well I just got a big surprise!

My N7 arrived. Even though the shipping tracking info said it would be delivered on Monday, it was delivered by UPS just now! Package had a green "Saturday Delivery" label on it.

So far everything is looking good. I'm typing this message on it and I like the smaller form factor. Glass seems even and scree looks good (although I will be doing a pixel check soon).

I appreciate Google upgrading the shipping to Saturday delivery. Anyone else get a surprise today? Now I just have to wait for the case to be delivered!:-$
 
Still have not received e-mail about my request for a refund on the shipping cost. The GS Rep did say it would take 24 hours so I hoping to receive email sometime tomorrow. I will call them Saturday if still haven't receive am e-mail. I will keep you guys posted if find anything out tomorrow.

I received my N7 at 11:57 today. They are off the hook but I'm still not a satisfied customer!!!

Checked it out with a magnifying glass.....everything appears ok!!!:D:D
 
Been playing with the tablet a ton over the weekend. It's AWESOME!!!

Rooting is also SUPER easy. If you want to root, there's a couple methods, but this is the easiest [Toolkit] Nexus Root Toolkit v1.5 - xda-developers (one note, the app has instructions for installing drivers. they have separate instruction for windows 7 or previous versions. i have 7 but i found the previous versions instructions worked better. or just install drivers yourself. as long as ADB can see your device, you're good to go.)

I was busy Saturday and haven't called google back. Now I have to see why haben't received an email about my request for refund on shipping cost. Come on it's been 4 days Google and I haven't received an email back. I am not surprised just frustrated.

Ordered Gnex and Nexus 7 on the 29th. After two and half weeks was told that my orders were affected by the ban (?), and had to reordered. Did that on July 18. Since that day I have been ignored by Google. No emails (no replies), no tracking info, charge pending...nothing else.

I'm...not happy. :-\
 
I reordered on 7/12 after a shipping address problem with my original 7/3 order caused it to be cancelled by Google. Last Friday the date on status was changed to 7/20, though the actual Wallet page still shows the 7/12 date. Last night the date on status changed to 7/24, and there is again a pending charge on my CC. Maybe today is the day it finally ships.

That said, I lucked out at Staples last week and got one of three they received, but as soon as my wife saw the Nexus she said... "sell my Kindle Fire, I want one" so the pending order is for her, unless Staples gets more in before Google finally ships.

I also ordered mine on July 13th and a charge on my cc appeared this morning. The status also changed to July 24th. So Hopefully we get a tracking number soon.
 
I ordered on the 28th and still haven't got it (8 GB only). I received a tracking number two days ago, but there isn't any activity with it.

Anyone else still waiting on a June pre-order?

I received an email with the tracking number in the middle of the night, and when I checked UPS status a half hour ago it shows the package left KY at 3:45 p.m. today and will be here tomorrow afternoon! Hopefully yours is on it's way as well.
