Google has removed 70k yes 70 thousand apps from the play store that contained malware ,that's a really big number thanks Google for being proactive but how does that happen in the 1st place?

I think the screening needs to happen more for newer publishers until they have a good track record of not posting bad apps.

Yep. That is why I don't use apps from unknown devs and such.

That's not really being proactive, that's being reactive. Being proactive would have been if they never allowed them on there in the first place

Keep in mind even with the best tech stuff will get by.

Google definitely needs to do a better job of stopping these apps BEFORE they are in the store, but everyone should be watching what they download anyway. I am careful whether it's the Android or iOS store. There has to be some common sense on the user end too. I know, that's probably asking a lot and I know that the average user may not even think about it. Most users won't even know about this news.
