720p video update

As you all may heared ,
HTC will release a 720p video recording update for both Desire & Droid Incredible (& maybe Nexus one)
Sony Ercisson will also release the 720p video recording update with 2.0 update for the Xperia X10
Both companies said that the update will be released soon this year
How about the Droid/MileStone ? Is it gonna get it too ? Or not ?
Since HTC & MileStone currently are using Android 2.1 (Elicar)

It all depends on Moto, has a lot to do with the hardware (camera lens and all that).
If we're lucky, we'll get it also, and soon!

As stated above, the hardware matters as well. Apps can do a lot but they can't overcome hardware limitations.

It'd be great if we could get 720p. I have this weird feeling that Moto is going to move on from the Droid 1 and focus all their attention on the Droid 2 once it comes out

It'd probably be really grainy 720p video. The Incredible, Evo, and Droid X have 8 Megapixel cameras. That might be an important factor for recording 720p, I honestly don't know.

I doubt we'll see 720p, the camera/hardware combo will probably be the limitation.
