[8/4/20] Note 10/10+ August Update.

Same here tried twice but it installs about a quarter and then reboots with error sign ??????.

Should we keep trying or send a message to Samsung.

A crap.... I'm factory resetting/restoring at the moment.... it must be the download and not my phone then.
I was already on to Samsung support UK, they didn't have any other reports on it so it would probably be a good idea if you logged it as well.
I'll let you know ASAP if the factory reset helps

Thought it might be something more with a thread this long. I appreciate security patches but don't bother discussing them.

How did you make out?

People discuss what carrier got it , or experience issues.

I think it is only affected us UK and Irish users with the unlocked BTU/XEU variants. Both 4g and 5g models.

At the moment.

Sent a report to Samsung. Hopefully fix coming soon 😕

The furthest I went was the clear my phones system cache files and then came on here and other forums to soon learn it's a Samsung Server issue or borked update.

Factory resetting is my very last resort.

Do you use package disabler ?

No I don't and no other under the hood stuff either.
I have the blood pressure monitor installed/enabled and had to redo that but I haven't done any rooting/modding since Note 4 really.

You'll need to flash the stock firmware again, but you can do this without factory reset

And I have to find a Windows PC, not that difficult but still a pain in the YKW
If Samsung don't fix the update I'll just wait until I get the Note 20 Ultra :-)

I'm guessing it is still just using the correct Odin version and then remember to use home_csc file (or whatever it is called now)
I would imagine Samsung fixes the update though, this is affecting a lot of people that won't be able to flash it themselves and are nowhere near a Samsung Service Centre.

Yeah correct , it may be true some will run into this and if they seek help here I'll help them also .

I'd say you could end up busy :-)
But fair play to you.
Week and a half and we'll be staying 'what's a Note 10 anyway'
