A better Phone app than default?

I have a Moto Razr and generally like the minimal GUI, but one thing really bugs me, the Phone app.

Why? Because If I want to find somone I haven't called in a while, I have to search rather than scroll.

Use People, you say? People is a mess full of Facebook accounts and other crap that has tons of entries that don't even have phone numbers...

So now that I'm looking for a new phone, probably, do other manufacturers have a way to just scroll through people who have phone numbers? 3rd party app mayhaps?

Consider Google Gesture Search. This allows you to simply draw letters on your screen, and it will start searching anywhere on your phone. You can limit it to search your contacts, so if you want to look for "Joe Smith," just start writing J, O, E in big letters on your screen, and it will come up.
