First-time Android owner here, and in setting it up I thought it was so cool that you set up syncing with Facebook, G-mail and Flickr (sp) right off the bat. I was also under the impression your contacts were populated by importing your Outlook data to G-mail and syncing it with the phone. It all worked great, don't get me wrong...the instructions in here worked fast and were easy.

My problem/questions stems from the fact that the contacts list pulled up by hitting the phone button were populated with all my Facebook friends, leaving me with about 500 people I can say with 150% certainty I will NEVER call. Pressing the people icon on the home screen brings up my 'real' contacts I imported from my Omnia.

Is there a way of getting rid of, or cleaning out the unwanted people out of the phone button list, or is it something I will just have to live with?

Try opening up your contacts, Menu, view.
It will allow you to filter your contact sources.

Thanks, I checked it out and for the People view that is the way it is configured....guess I'll have to live with it in phone view and learn to go to the People icon first as habit.
