A Chromebook vs Android Tablet

I currently have a Kindle Fire HDX7 with 32GB storage. Sometime over the weekend I received a notice from Google that they were selling the Acer Chromebook R 11 with 2GB Ram and 32 GB storage for $249.

I have had on my wish list the Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 9.7 for a while. I need a bigger screen because the 7" screen on my Kindle is difficult for me to see as I age.

Since the Google Play Store is going to be available on select chromebooks soon, would not this be an acceptable replacement rather than the Galaxy Tab S2? Should I be be looking for a minimum 32 GB storage because the android apps will use up storage? Currently my android apps take up about 9.5 GB on my Kindle Fire.

The chromebook is $150 less than the Samsung tablet. It also is a 2 in 1, turning into a tablet. I see it replacing my older windows laptop for most of my computing.

Thanks for any advice.
