Okay so I downloaded baked 1.8 from Rom manager and I picked the fastest kernel (number 6 I believe). And I found the setcpu apk floating around, so I downloaded it just to mess around with it. Here's my issue, before I flashed 1.8 I was running 1.7. And while using setcpu on 1.7 I could overclock my phone to the point where it would bootloop. Wich I think was around 1.2 ghz orso? But now when I drag the green bar up all the way I can only overlook to 1113 and it will not let me go higher. Can anyone help me figure out why I'm like capped on setcpu? And also just one more thing. Whenever I flash another rom regardless of what it is. Everytime I do the only messages it actually saves are from like early September. I just want to know how I can keep my messages saved for when I flash another Rom.

Sorry for the long rant, these are just a couple issues I have with rooting. And if you could help me resolve these issues I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks a lot guys.

Simple, each kernel allows different max/min clock speeds. Dont worry your phone is still capable for 1.2 its just your kernel doesnt support it (no real benefits anyways imo) And as for the messages, if you really want to save them use mybackup pro or titanium backup (i think, ive never used titanium)

But im confused on how your already saving your messages? you said "it" saves them but... We here cant read minds. Yet.

Well it doesn't really save my messages. It's whenever reflash a Rom there will always be the same couple messages in my inbox. And all my other messages will be deleted. I just don't have any idea how to back up my messages. Not a big issue. But it would be nice to know how to.
