A couple of newbie questions please

I'm new to Android (long time Crackberry addict) and love the forum. I have a couple of questions please that have been vexing me.

First, how please do I add the "sound" icon to a home screen. I am familiar with adding and moving apps, shortcuts and widgets, but dagnabbit if I can't remember how I added a sound icon previously.

Ok, I eventually figured it out. After getting to the shortcuts, I had to scroll down. Simple as that. Thanks.

Do you mean a sound icon to launch some stock sound app? Or do you mean a sound widget? I assuming you are looking for some type of volume control?

If so, I couldn't find any stock app that handles this.

And, I just checked and saw no stock volume widgets.

You might have to go hunting for a free sound app or an app with a widget. Or, I'm sure someone could point you in the right direction if anyone currently has something like that.

Elixer is a free app that has customizable widgets that include sound (normal/vibrate/silent). It also has a lot of other useful tools. Or try Elixer 2 (I'm still using the original Elixer).
