A Couple of Questions Now that I have the N6

a few questions...
1. do I need a battery saver app which shows my percentage and optimizes battery? does it really do that?
2. What is your all time favorite launcher for the N6.
3. Do we need an antivirus for the N6?

Thanks! I forgot to ask....do you bother with animations being .5 under developer options?

Nah. I guess some people feel like the animations take too long and make the phone feel slower, but I'm not bothered by'em...

1. No but I run GSAM (paid version) and that gives me the app usage, battery remaining, etc..
2. Nova Prime or Yahoo Aviate. (right now I am using Nova Prime)
3. No.

Also, the stock keyboard works nicely. I tried the Swiftkey app but, that made it lag so, it was quickly disabled. Kind of made me feel like I was running a Samsung device.

2. If you want customization than Nova Prime it is. I own Prime, but run stock as I find having Google Now to my left incredibly useful.

I run a custom rom which shows the battery %.

I like Google Now Launcher.

Never use anti-virus, it isn't Windows.

So you've already got a lot of good answers, but for me it's:

1) No.
2) Stock (i.e. Google Now) launcher
3) There's no point.

There are a lot of good launchers out there, but I wouldn't worry about the other items. Enjoy your new phone!

I like that Percent Enabler App, I prefer seeing the percentage in the icon instead of another set of numbers on the taskbar. I do not see any use for any battery performance enablers (battery saver apps) either......
