A couple of Skyraider questions

Im running Skyraider 3.2 Sense RC3, and I was trying to add on one of the launchers, but it doesnt seem to work. Do I need to have s-off to run these, or am I missing something? Also the optical wake only works sometimes, anyone else have that problem?

you have to press the optical not swype. and what launcher

Most times I have to hit the optical 2-3 times for the phone to wake. As far as the launcher, its the phone/apps/add widget home screen launcher. It might just be the launcher its self, because now im running vanilla 3.0 and I had no problem flashing a add on status bar. I know that for some of the add ons you need to have s-off(which I did), and a terminal emulator(down loaded one, and don't understand it). I just want to make sure I do things right, because when I was running Redemption rom I tried to flash a add on, I did the wipe data/cache and the next thing I know my phone was bricked.

When you do an add on, do not wipe data cache unless specifically directed by the dev. The only time you really need to wipe the data is when you are going from one ROM to another.
