A couple questions

I am also in the camp of people that are looking at other phones after Google's Pixel announcement. I just can't justify paying $650+ for a phone. I have read through some of the threads here and I am seriously considering the OnePlus 3. It looks like a great buy, I just have a few questions:

  • I read somewhere that the fingerprint scanner is not clickable. Is that true? If so, how do you get to the home screen - just tap the scanner?
  • What are people's thoughts that have come from a smaller phone? I am a little concerned about the size. I currently have the Galaxy S4.
  • If I order a OP 3 from their website, can I cancel my order before it ships (if for some reason there is a price drop or something)? Right now, there is roughly a 3 week ship date.

Thanks!

1 - Correct, it is just a capacitive button. You would just tap it to get to the home screen, or you can use on screen buttons.
2 - Whenever I've moved from a smaller phone to a larger one, I can make the adjustment within a day or so. After that, it's hard to go back to a smaller screen.
3 - Not sure about that, but I don't think there will be a price drop on this, since it's already so cheap.

I have no idea exactly what these phones are like, but in my opinion and with some experience, I may be able to answer these.

Since it isn't clickable, yes you would have to click it.

Personally, I do not enjoy the smaller screens, but I wouldn't want a huge screen size either. Smaller phones are great to carry around though. :P

I wouldn't see why not, but if you are more interested in a price drop, I would wait a little bit to get it. But on some sites, you are able to cancel orders before they are shipped.

My answers may be completely wrong, but I hope I have helped a little bit!

Ordered one last week. Looks like the wait time is unacceptable.
I pulled the trigger and ordered it last night. It's scheduled to ship by 10/24. What about you? I wish the wait wasn't that long, but at least it's not as long as some of the past Nexus' (4+ weeks).

The time-frame had been 3 weeks to ship and I noticed yesterday it dropped to 2, so I went for it.

Shipping date is 24th for me too. I almost went for Honor 8 yesterday with the deal because of this delay but restrained.

I ordered the soft gold today and website said ready for immediate shipping. My order has expected ship date for tomorrow 10/12.

Wow, now I'm wondering if I should go with the gold? It was out of stock yesterday.

Exactly. I checked their website the past two days and it was out of stock. I have to return my Note 7 for the second time, so this morning I was trying to make up my mind on which device to purchase so I thought I would check the Oneplus site once again. I was shocked to find it in stock and readyfor immediate shipping. I immediately clicked on purchase and placed my order.

I cancelled my order for get and ordered gold. Ships immediately :). I hope i will like it and hope it doesn't look like iphone

I have the gold oneplus 3, it doesn't look like an iPhone, actually it looks kind of like a white Samsung Galaxy (fill in the blank, model) from the front.

Thanks. Good to know that. Any suggestion for cases?

I have a black Diztronic case and a Spigen Ruff Armor case, also black. I like the Diztronic case better but that's just my personal opinion. One thing that really stands out about this phone after using my Nexus 6 so long, is how thin the Oneplus 3 is even with a case on it, it's a pretty thin phone, either that or I was just so use to my Nexus 6 every other phone seems smaller / thinner.

Random question (thought I'd add it here)

Does the recent apps in the OP3 have a clear all option rather than. Have to close all apps separately?

Yes. When you have recent apps open u need to scroll down to the bottom. It's on the bottom right, screenshot attached.
