I've accidentally brought this "different notification display" up on my Note 10+, it seems like I've swiped on the lock screen in some secret squirrel manner and have been able to bring this up a few times. I am running Nova Launcher... maybe something with that but for the life of me I can't figure out how I've got it to appear those few times. Any ideas? (Sorry, no screenshots)

Well, without a screen shot or at least a detailed description of what exactly it is that you're seeing... It's kinda hard to help. If you're using Nova chances are you've set something up for a gesture and that's what's popping up.

Also, if you're in the lockscreen you might be swiping on top of a 'widget' (like the clock or music player) or if you use Samsung'S random wallpapers, tapping on it and swiping will lead you to scroll through the weekly list.

I agree with spook it's hard to visualize it , but one thing to check in settings>security>device administrator apps> see if nova activated for lock screen control if so deactivate it there .

I got it to do it again but still can't reliably figure out what I'm doing to make it come up this way.

That looks like a Notification Log. Do you have that set up in Nova at all?

I figured it out. On the lock screen if I tap to wake, I've got two little up arrows, (see image). If I long press and drag up, this little notification window pops up. Cool. Screenshot_20200312-133351_Gallery.jpeg

Yup, looks like Notistar. If you don't have Notistar or Goodlock on your phone, however, check which apps have permission to access notifications (from Accessibility). You can disable that if it's Notistar, by the way.
