A feature I miss...

I've been a proud Android user for over a year, but before that I was a diehard blackberry junkie. One thing I still miss is being able to set a unique ringtone and a unique notification tone for one contact. I will never understand why Google has overlooked this for so long unless there is a legit reason for it to not be possible. Anyone know if there is a phonebook app that allows this?

This phone has you covered for individual ringtones for contacts in the People app. As far as (text?). Notifications I'm not sure.

Yeah, that's how every version of android that I've used has been. You can only set one tone per contact that covers received calls and messages. On Blackberry you can assign 2 tones per contact.

I use Ringo Lite. I can set different ring tones for calls and messages for each contact. One contact can have different rings tones for messages and calls. Easy to use.

Handscent sms also allows you to set different ring tones for contacts and messages.

Handscent is very good. I've used it since my Droid X days. For ringtones, I use ringtone randomizer. It plays a random ringtone/music for each call I receive.
