I got a new S5 Mini yesterday replacing the HTC One SV I have at work but have found a few issues and cannot find the answers to it.

Firstly on the HTC on my mail I could see all unread mail regardless on what folder it was in, can this be done on the S5 with Exchange?

Secondly I was under the impression my WiFi network profiles would sync between devices it this not the case?

Thirdly is there any way you can sync you apps on to the device automatically if installed on one device to another?

Thanks for this, the big one for me is the email side of things as I have rules moving various messages when the land in my inbox.

The email query is a function of the app being used and not the phone. But you don't say which app you used before and which you are using now. If you used to use an HTC mail app that came pre-installed on your old phone and if you still have access to the phone you could try to extract the apk and copy it to the S5. You can do this with ES FILE EXPLORER app but you'll need to figure it out as it would take too long to explain here. Beware that some apps can't be saved as an apk though and there is no guarantee that it would run on the S5 either. Loads of other mail clients in the play store to look at though.

Not quite sure what you mean by WiFi profiles syncing across devices, maybe you can explain what you are looking for in a bit more detail.

Syncing apps between devices again depends on the level of syncing you are hoping for. When you sign into your Google account on a new phone it should download apps from the play store and I think it asks from which previous device it should use but that maybe a lollipop only feature and that's not on the S5 mini yet. If you are wanting to sync the app data too then that doesn't work and I don't know of anyway to do it unless you root your device and use titanium backup or similar functionality to do it.

Hi there, thanks for coming back to me.

On the HTC and the S5 mini I am just using the build in mail app with the phone, I thought they would be the same. I will have a look about extracting the apk see if I can do it. Other option is to have a look at clients, was hoping it would be simpler, you kind of get used to one way of working.

WiFi profiles, i.e. the ones I connect to, I have maybe ten different ones I link to and just wondered if you could sync them across rather than have to reenter them all.

Syncing apps - I was hoping if I download an app on one device it would appear on another device, not fussed about the data, just saves me going in and manually downloading each app again, I was just under the impression with Android they automatically downloaded where ever you sign in.
