A Few Q's from a new user

Hi All,

Im a new user to android system - Previously used an iPhone4
Anyways got a few Q's
1. Social Hubs(email)/AccuWeather - Does this use 3G to self update when i am not in a wi-fi zone? My data package is crap (500mb) and i do not want to go over and incur ridiculous fees

2. Contacts - is there a way to disable the photos on the left column when in contacts? I don't really want that feature..

Otherwise Im loving the new android OS, its different and its somewhat challenging to get used to it

It uses whatever connection it has available. You can set under settings how often you refresh the weather. Anyway I think (but have not measured it) it uses a ver small amount of data...
