A few questions about samsung fascinate

I am new to using samsung fascinate(had a droid before) and I have a few questions. First is I noticed my phone goes from 3g to 1x and the internet can be kinda slow when downloading apps. Also my google maps isn't good at showing me my location. Does anyone know when 2.2 will be out? Also when I clicked the contacts or call log my screen went black and I had to shut my phone off and on. It doesn't happen everytime but just seeing if it was a problem with other people. One more thing is facebook won't sync contacts. It says something about in error has occurred. Does anyone else have that problem? Any feedback would be appreciated.

2.2 should be out soonish, i don't think anyone knows anything more specific time frame wise than that.

for the gps lock, the galaxy s phones have an issue with them. i've been using the app "GPS status" in the market, install that, click menu, settings, gps & sensors, Manage A-GPS State, and then reset. your locks should be much faster (for a while) just do that every few days and it should be okay as a temporary fix.

for facebook, try going into settings, accounts, facebook, and unsync and resync it from there.

also to pull your facebook data into contacts, go to contacts, menu, get friends, and then pick facebook.
