A few questions regarding the VM670ZV9 update

Yeah its probably a good idea to stop.
I dont have a problem going there but for the sake of the community I suggest you not.

Ive tried to type out a reasonable response, however as most people here can vouch, its hard for me to react reasonable to arrogant trolls. Again Im going to avoid engaging you for that reason. You are looking for this type of response and Im not going to fall for it. Be aware Im just going to report your posts from here on out if they appear to be fishing for a fight. Im sure the other member of this forum will feel the same way.

Lol. I guess I'm sorry? I was only trying to correct an error, didn't realize that would upset people so much. Sheesh.

To the OP- I would avoid the update all together for the time being. It has given problems to some users, including myself, that could probably effect you unless you are planning on staying on stock or trying Quattrimus.

Wait so if I am going to Quattermusness is there any benefit to updating to v9? Can we answer the original post?

This thread is "ancient" as far as the life of a phone forum thread goes but anyway I hear it is better to go to Sprint zvj baseband and run Roms with the zvj to zvd baseband patch.

??? WHERE DID YOU HEAR THAT??? NO! There should no longer be any issues with zv9 as the kernel source from VM was merged.

EDIT: sorry if that seemed disrespectful, that was not my intention.

That would be a good resolution, but changing to zvj is a very painstaking process, with the possibility of losing data and not getting it back if you do it wrong.

True... If anyone wanted to attempt it I always recommend getting a qcn file from qpst as well as a nvs file from lgnpst. With these you're pretty well covered though... A failed attempt could end easily enough by: flash zv5 from emode - restore nvs - restore qcn - reboot

Edit: I run zvj on my ov for anyone who doesn't know.... If anyone has questions feel free to pm me
