A good all around Media Player.

I need A good all around Media Player for the Xoom. WiFi only edition. Movie player as well as Music. I am so use to the windows media player and like it as well. Maybe something similar.

Just having trouble finding one optimized for the Xoom.

I would settle for at least a movie player. One that plays all the formats.

Thanks for the reply, I tried that and when you select a file it would lock up on me at times. Have to reboot the xoom when that happens

Moboplayer can play some Real media files(.rm) and some Windows media files (wmv) as well. It's the best player I found so far...

Just did a comparison of RockPlayer and MoboPlayer on several of my movies. MoboPlayer is quite a bit better. I especially like the ability to brighten the screen so easily.

I've been using Windows Media Player 12 on my PC, although I haven't been able to get it to recognize any MKV files. I use Twonky to share media from my Nexus S.

Does Mobo Player fix the Judder - jerky playback - that a lot of people, myself included have had with the Xoom when playing Mp4 files?

I ran through Power Amp, Rock Player and a handfull of others and couldnt find one that would play fluid, not jerky video...

Just curious.

FWIW, I don't have "Judder - jerky playback". Not with Mobo, not with native player either. You probably have some processes going on in the background you're not aware of.

I see serious judder when I play back movies I re-encoded to H.264 from DVDs; I suspect the hardware decoder doesn't handle 23.97fps content correctly. Plays back nice and smooth if you use the software decoder in MoboPlayer (long press on the file, or select it in options).
