i'd like to throw in my vote for Astrid. I LOVE astrid!

I like this widget and Proucteev quite a bit, but I have one quick question. The widget itself, and this a problem with many widgets, has a dark shade which is unappealing and it covers the wallpaper (it is sorta transparent but not quite). Is there a way to make the widget fully transparent (that only the words will show up)? Currently it shows up as a dark splat on the homescreen...

good question. doesn't appear to be a way to do that in Astrid itself. not sure if you can do this in the phone OS or not... i actually don't use the widget, i use the program.
for my to-do widget i use pure calendar widget, which syncs up nicely with my Astrid and Google cal* iCal

is possible.. there are LOTS of settings... you should email the developer and ask - they know more than me! mine isn't transparent, but i wouldn't want it to be. mine is all white w/ coloured text. i know you can change the colour and transparency of the text - not sure about the widget itself
