I bought mine new from a local Samsung showroom and been using it for past eight months. I used it with a screen protector and relatively protective case. I have NEVER dropped it, not even on my bed. today i took it off the case to clean off the dust that get between the case and body, and guess what? there is a small hair line crack on the front bezel near the headphone jack. I can feel it when i run my finger along the edge of the bezel. here are two pictures of the crack.

close up: where you can see, there seems to be a gap between the two side which can be felt with finger.

Anyone else facing a similar situation?

Should I be concerned that the front bezel might fall apart?

after bit of google searching i came across a similar story in xda forums. and the cracks appear in similar places.

That's from it being flexed a lot. That's what happens when you use the cheapest materials possible to build a high end smartphone. The cracks appear in similar places because it's near the middle of that side of the phone, where the plastic would flex most. You may not think you're flexing it a lot, but over time it wears on the materials. When the phone gets warmer it tends to flex more than when it's colder so they form these cracks in the plastic. You notice these things happening sometimes at the corners in tupperware and things like that as well.

Samsung needs to stop using plastics and graduate to something a bit more premium like almost every other manufacturer (except maybe LG?) has done by now.
