Moring Everyone (U.K time),
I have been a lifelong Android user, sometimes regretting that decision as I see the super slick Apple products, all connecting and working together, but for the main a happy person who knows they have made a great choice. I dont change phones too often and have a small collection of hardware in my cupboard now! I am now using a Google Pixel 7 Pro and am regretting this a bit, its hardware is not reliable, software wise it takes some getting used too, but the camera is great. I had an LG V 30 for years before and my wife is still using it now, refusing to step into the new era! It is slowly being killed by incompatability with modern Apps, so the time is nigh!

Good day to you all,

Simon

Welcome to the forums at Android Central!

Hope you get a great deal on a new phone soon!

Welcome to AC. Hopefully you get to upgrade to one of the newer Pixel phones as I think last two have been the best ones

well The Pixel & Pro died , just would not boot one day, battery 0%, so I have a replacement to re-build as my wifes next phone.i went and got myself the pixel 9 Pro XL, It very little different from the 7 Pro, nicer displan, bigger for no percieved reason, otherwise seems almost the same, except tha battery is much poorer, about 1 day with medium use, not great tbh. Otherwise a cracking phone.

Hi @saozzy ,

Good morning from the U.K. as well! Totally get where you’re coming from — Android loyalty runs deep, but those moments of Apple-envy definitely creep in (especially when everything just works together).

The Pixel 7 Pro has amazing camera tech, but you're not alone in feeling let down by some of the hardware reliability and software quirks. Funny how older phones like the LG V30 still hold up in key ways — a real underrated classic!

Sounds like you’ve got a solid mini museum of tech there! 😄
Hope your next upgrade feels more like a step forward. Maybe time to consider something like the Samsung S24 or a Pixel Fold, if you’re feeling bold?

All the best,
Cheers!
