Hey folks, I'm new to the SGS III and Sprint, and was wondering what you all recommend as far as a daily ROM are concerned. I just came from Big red and my Incredible where I was using a ICS based ROM. I am interested in Jelly Bean, and yes it is rooted already. Is ROM manager still the best way to easily install a ROM or are there newer and better ways to do it? Thanks for the help. I am looking through the forums but truth be told, I am a little overwhelmed at he moment learning my new device.

My personal opinion its always better to manually back up and install new ROMs and kernels using CWM or TWRP recovery. There are many great ROMs to chose from for Jellybean.

I'm running AOKP ROM on my Gnex but i hear it works very well on the SGSIII as well.

Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Android Central Forums

I agree with Paul, avoid Rom Manager.

I can't recommend any AOSP roms such as CM. Haven't found any I really like.

But my current favorite for jellybean is Wicked Sensations which will go live this weekend with an update based on the official version. I can say, I haven't found a single issue with the test version I'm currently running.

Where will i be able to find Wicked Sensations? Is it based on Touchwiz?

If you look in the rooting roms and hacks section of this forum, there is a wicked sensations thread. There is also a roms and kernel library that has links to all of the roms and kernel for this phone. I need to update it though....

When the thread is updated with the official version, I will edit the thread title to reflect it being based on the official.
