A little help please?

About the .nomedia file...

ROM Manager just had an update and it states the following:

What's in this version:
5.0.1.4 Fix bug that places .nomedia file in the wrong directory if directories are missing.

So I used Astro file manager and search for a nomedia file and there's like 15 files on different folders. One of them was in my DCIM>Friendcaster folder, I deleted it and the pictures showed up in my Gallery :)

Now let's get the others lol

The ultimate trolling exercise--using ROM Manager to destroy the enjoyment of thousands of individuals.

Yes. I deleted ROM manager after I read that lol
The only problem is that I couldn't get all my pictures back and I still can't play my music with Google music app. I guess I'll just wait...sigh

Haha wow all of that because of f*cking ROM Manager?!! Eh, I rather enjoyed the frantic crackflashing. Time to give RM a rating:p As usual, you guys are the shiat. Thanks!

Oxy - regarding Tab...let it go, man!!! Haha. I swear *somebody* must have cursed anyone having it on their phone after that freaking thread. We're SORRY:'(
:p

Where's TabGuy?

Updating Rom Manager. If I gave up on an app the first time there were issues I would never be in Euroskank. In fact, I'd never be in this forum. The price for getting in the game is you get bumps and bruises periodically.

^^ Yep that's true. Much more of an inconvenience for someone that doesn't really benefit from the app and only uses it to reboot into recovery (for ex). I'm just glad to have it figured out as it was driving me crazy. I enjoy the tinkering but it's frustrating to do it repeatedly without any profit.

Just being facetious fellas. I hate RM, not any of you guys :)

TabGuy, have you tried TWRP? It's pretty awesome. You might like it!

Update: Got all my pictures back in Gallery and google play musc is working fine again.
My steps
- Delete .nomedia files
- force stop and then clear cache and data in media storage.
- same steps for gallery and google play music.
- reboot
- done deal!

It took a couple mins after reboot for my pics to show up tho :)

Hope it works for others!

I usually place a .nomedia file in my "home movies" folder to keep them from showing in the gallery... and put a . in the prefix of the folder name.

Haha that's a great idea! I got (another) bulldog puppy in December and I regular show pictures of her to random people who do or do not ask (lol) to see them. I'm a proud dog dad :)So my "home" movies and pics either get moved to my computer or just enjoyed then deleted to avoid any shocking encounters. So, mind providing a bit more detail on how one goes about doing this?

Ok, I deleted all the .nomedia files, all 92 of them. I cleared data for Gallery. I rebooted. I waited about 15 minutes. Still nothing in Gallery. Nada.

Time to do a fresh install of CM10. I'm hoping that will solve this.
