A new LG G3 will not connect with an Acer desktop PC. How can I get this hooked up?

A new LG G3 will not connect with an Acer desktop PC.

The computer sees the G3, but does not show the G3 files.

The desktop PC is running Win 8.1 with latest updates installed.

On the computer, in File Explorer, did you open the G3 (like you'd open a drive)?
