Hi guys I was hoping to get some headphones for school and I was looking at the beats that came with the rezound on eBay. I like them because they have the buttons that will work with my thunderbolt. What are you guys' opinions on the headphones? Are they worth $40? Will they last? How is the sound? Thanks!

Look on ebay for klipsch s4i. I am a audiophile. They sound better and are more comfortable IMO. I found mine for $35 (they retail for $100). The beats are nice and they do sound good BUT your mainly paying for looks and the brand. Also worth noting, the klipsch earbuds are significantly lighter. Hope this helps.

I don't think I'd buy the beats phones without having the beats eq on the phone. They sound pretty good when using the beats eq, but they are muddy with any other eq I've tried.

I also tried the klipsh s4i, and found them to uncomfortable and I didn't care for the sound. I settled on Ultimate Ears 500vi. They are quite comfortable and I think the sound is more balanced than either the klipsh or the beats phones that came stock with the rezound.

There are hundreds of threads over at head-fi about these types of in-ear phones. You'll find more info than you can possibly consume.

Also, the headset button controller app should solve any button issues you might have. It's on the play store.

I will have the eq because I'd put a beats-enabled rom on

see if you could find someone who has it and try it out. I didn't like it very much.

That reminds me..mine are still sitting in my box brand new..never even bothered to try em because I figured I'd just sell em anyway lol

No! Not worth it... Ur paying for the name brand... I wish I had another suggestion but I don't. I'm sorry...but beats headphones is not all that! Trust me.

No.
If you don't like any of the suggestions here go over to The Wirecutter and look at their recommendations, then look on ebay for those buds. If you can't find them, look for the model that came before the recommended model.

everyone has different opinions on headphones. I paid less than $40 for my Klipsch s5i new, and imo, they are better sounding than the beats headphones that came with the phone. of course, I got it on sale, but you never know what promos might come up. keep your ears peeled for headphone sales.

Here's another vote for Klipsch. I've had mine for about a year and a half now and they can take a beating. I use mine for working out at the gym, mowing the grass..hell I even wore them while I was pressure washing my deck and house. I don't recall the exact model number but they were like 70bucks at Best Buy. VERY comfortable and sound great (at least to me anyway lol).

I think I've settled on the Logitech 350vm

Android controls and a 2 yr warranty for the same price on amazon

I looked for s4i but they're all $70+ and my limit is about $50

Good choice. The ue products are good bang for the buck.
