Now, this isn't going to be a deal-breaker for me since I have been sold on the phone pretty much since it was revealed at CTIA, but it's still kind of a big deal to me.
I know that the EVO supports multi-touch in the browser, photo gallery, Maps, and on the home screen for the Leap feature in the newest version of Sense. So.... how about the virtual QWERTY? Is it multi-touch aware?! Meaning when you are typing with 2 thumbs (at a fast pace) will the keyboard register 2 keys being touched?
I owned an iPhone for quite sometime and became VERY comfortable with its keyboard because, though it wasnt very spacious even when in landscape, the fact that it registered multiple key touches made it very usable.
I have heard great things about HTC's custom on-screen keyboard, but have never had the chance to use it. I have however used the Vanilla Android keyboard on both the myTouch 3G and the Samsung Behold 2 and I have to say it was downright AWFUL! It was actually one of the biggest reasons for why I returned the myTouch just 2 days after I bought it.
So, does anyone know the answer to my question? Like I said, I have heard nothing but good things about HTC's on-screen QWERTY and also I am hopeful because I know that the EVO features the new maxxTouch screen from Amtel.
