A.S.A.P I need some ADVICE!!!

Hey eveyone, I have a question. I helped a friend upgrade to GB now when he trys to use his phone it sits at blank screen if he press the dialer or any app at that. It does have the 3G symbol and all on the notification screen,but the phone has quit working He can't make calls or use his phone. Help I need to get his phone working ASAP.

Thanks Guys but he rushed off to Big red and they did a factory reset!!
