A somewhat bittersweet goodbye

Even though I am still fairly happy with my TBolt, I am saying goodbye to it and getting the Razr Maxx. The TBolt was my first HTC Android phone and I actually liked the Sense UI, but I was given an unexpected upgrade and decided to take it. The 2 main reasons I went with the Razr Maxx was the huge battery and the lapdock. I purchased the Original Razr for my wife for christmas and also got here the lapdock 100 and had been pretty jealous. She doesn't use the lapdock that much, but it will come in handy for me because I travel for work and my company doesn't really like you to use the laptop's they "issue" you for personal reasons. I actually tried the tablet route (Archos 101) and while it seemed like a decent tablet, it was not very user friendly when it came to typing. The lapdock should take care of most of my needs and it won't be bulky enough to feel like I'm dragging 2 laptops around all the time.

You'll love it. I ditched the Thunderbolt for the RAZR the day the RAZR came out. My wife made the upgrade from her Thunderbolt last week. It's just a better phone...plain and simple.

Best of luck. The Razr Maxx looks like a very nice phone. I would miss Sense, though.

The razr maxx is the best phone out. I'm jealous as heck. I'm stuck with tbolt until a year from April. On the bright side there should be something even better by then! If I were given the option to extend my contract for 2 more years and pay $400 for a maxx I'd do it in a heartbeat. I'm on aosp now and I don't miss sense a bit.

i got the tbolt whenever it came out and had most of the problems as well . it was my first HTC device . I came to really like sense even though i had all the issues . then i went to the razr and it has been a solid phone . but i got to missing sense so bad and the great camera on my wifes rezound made me go get a rezound. at first it was love at first sight . but after a day or two of little issues like no notifaction light working right having to reboot to get 4g working after being in a non 4g area .ect ect i took it back and got a razr maxx . im loving the stable 4g radio and of course the battery life not loving the camera and the blur . i put go launcher on it to try and get something similer to sense lol . will they ever make the perfect phone ??

I don't think they will ever make the perfect phone because then it will stop us from wanting the "next best thing" lol.

Well I am a huge fan of HTC and the sense UI. I love my bolt

I used a gnex since its launch but last week switched the RAZR Maxx. It's simply a great phone, you won't be disappointed.

Had to the chance to step up to a Razr for cheap...30 bucks actually. But I couldnt stand the green tinge the screen had; And in all honesty I have had no problems with my (rooted) Bolt. Enjoy!

Well I got my maxx today and while I'm enjoying it there are 2 things I already miss from my tbolt. I didn't realize how nice and handy the clock/weather widget was and the social media widget was much better than the one on my maxx. I don't think those are enough to get me to go back though lol.

I also should add that i miss the kick stand........man that thing was handy.
