A way for Home button to turn on screen but not go home?

Thanks folks! I never thought to see if this was fixable and just assumed it was JB. Re enabled S Voice and Samsung TTS and back to screen toggle again. I was getting tired of reaching for the power button. I have it wirelessly charging beside me in the living room (Touchstone lives! Palm RIP) and it's much more convenient to just tap the home key and resume whatever I was doing.

I'm having the same problem... but I seem to have at some point uninstalled S Voice entirely - is there anyway to reinstall it? I can't see it on the Play store...

Thanks!! Finally it resolved for me... I was sure it was because version upgrade and suffered for months..

my note 2 freaked me out today by doing this **** to me luckly i found your alls thread thanks guys i think my problem though was my galaxy gear auto lock feature to my phone i turned it off and my home button went back to normal
