A33 Battery poor performance / charging issues

Hi all,

I have a recent issue with my Samsung A33 5g phone. Nothing has happened to the phone (did not drop or get exposed to moisture) but the following symptoms have just started about a week or two ago:

1: When plugging in charger, I get an error that moisture is detected, but if i rotate the USB cable and reconnect it then it charges fine.
2: Once it charges, it does not seem to fast charge anymore
3: I receive a non-stop usb connected/disconnected notification from time to time
4. Battery life is terrible (+/- 12 hours) with moderate use, even though battery health appears to be fine and estimated time is over a day.

So far I have:

1: Disabled the USB notifications to stop my screen being turned on constantly
2: Cleaned USB port with isopropyl and a flat earbud, then blew it out with compressed air.
3. Tried different USB cables, chargers, charging from laptop
4. Cleared USB cache

I have not yet done a hard reset but would that really help? It seems more like a hardware issue at this point?

Any advice?

Welcome.

It does seem more like hardware to me, but you may have to try factory resetting, otherwise you’ll never know. It may be worth trying Safe Mode first, since that is simple.
