AA will not connect to my 2018 Hyundai Sonata using Google Pixel 3 XL that is up to date.

Everytime I connected the USB-C cord it comes back with can't connect "exit“. I know that the cord works because my wife has a older Android phone running OS 9 and it works perfectly displaying Waze on the head unit. When I go into USB settings it will not let me change over to Android Auto.
Is there a fix for this?

Have you tried a different cable?

I have tried several different cords, the cord that came with the Google Pixel 3 XL, plus from Amazon that states it is a “Official Google cord", have been to the local Verizon store, for some examples.
All of them work with my wife's phone with OS 9, not a one of them would work with my phone other than charging it. Bluetooth works well, you can make phone calls and receive phone calls.
Thanks for your suggestion. Believe me I have tried everything that everybody has told me to try and nobody has come up with the right answer.
I think the problem is I do not have control over the USB settings every time I try to tell it to use Android Auto it will not take the setting.

I'm now sure why it's an issue with the 2018 Sonata. I had a 2017 and it worked fine

I'm not to sure about your answer
I have read a lot of post that other cars are having the same problem.
If it's the head unit like you think. How come it worked with a older Android phone running OS 9?

I thought you might have tried it on your wife's car but I see all you tried was the cables. I don't know what the issue is but I never have to change any settings when I connect my devices to Android Auto.

Mike, I have not tried it on my wife's car due to the fact is her car doesn't have that feature.
I'm only taking about my 2018 Hyundai Sonata. You suggested that I change cables. With that I informed you I have tried several cables and none of them corrected the problem. I then informed you that I tried my wife cell phone which is on OS 9 and it works perfectly does not matter which court I use.
Every time I connect My Google Pixel 3 XL it tells me it will not do the setup and to exit the app. I can go into USB settings and set it to use Android Auto and it fails. I have checked with Hyundai America and on the web sight it has on it that this phone works with this car and Head Unit.

I have a same model and AA don't work either. I have a Samsung Galaxy s24 ultra. I used to have an iPhone 12 pro and was working so I know is not the usb port. Any updates?
