AAARRRGGGHHH!!!!!!!!! Freaking auto correct is gonna get somebody killed!!!!!!!!!

If I had to pick one thing to have a major fit over, it would be this. It "corrects" word that aren't spelled wrong or used incorrectly. It just changed the word and to sms. WHY???????? They aren't even close. It has been "correcting" words since day one and I am so over it. I thought it would learn as it was used more, but now it just seems like a cruel joke, like someone else has control of my phone and just inserts random words at their whim. This is driving me crazy!!!!!!!!!! Does anyone know how to turn off auto correct? I'm sure there is a way, I am just so friggin steamed right now I can't find it.

Look closely at your keyboard and you will see that the "s" is right there in between the "a" and the "d" and the "m" is right next door to the "n". If anyone of your three taps on the keyboard were a little off the mark, auto-correct decided to go with the wrong word.

You should be able to easily turn off auto-correct; Settings -> Language & input -> Keyboard would be a good place to start.

What keyboard are you using? You could try a different one. For me Swiftkey is probably the best for prediction/auto-correction.

I remember a thread on another type of forum in its funny section. Auto correct put in wife when neighbor tried saying he was coming clean and wanted to let the man know he was stealing his wifi. Didn't end well!

Turning off auto correct and predictions is pretty much a standard option for most keyboards.

What keyboard are you using? You could try a different one. For me Swiftkey is probably the best for prediction/auto-correction.

Swiftkey will even give you a two-word phrase choice, based on your past use.

I saw that in another forum as well. Yeah, the ending was NOT good....
