So i started with apex moved to liberty and it was great. Had a few errors when installing themes so I figured I would sbf and re install liberty and stick with that for a while.

So I sbf and reboot and the liberty boot logo is still on, weird I think to myself.

So I nandroid back to my apex restore point reboot and I get the liberty boot logo into the apex boot logo back into the liberty with a boot loop.

So then I wipe data and factory reset. Phone boots up unrooted with liberty still running and all of my nandroids gone.....

Am I screwed how can I get back to basic stock?

Thanks!

So I am sitting right now on an unrooted phone with liberty running. No liberty tool box, but still have the liberty boot logo then it rolls into the normal factory droid eye boot.

I am all sorts of screwed up.....

Wipe everything and sbf again. Hope that gets it fixed.

I have tried that using bootstrap rom manager and no matter what I have done remnants of liberty remain....

It is common for the Liberty boot image to remain. People just forget to change it back to the stock Motorola image before moving away from Liberty.

xliderider said it. If you run liberty, use the toolbox to change the stock boot logo back, or just .zip install it. Apex 1.3.1 is the king of ROMS IMO. I haven't had to reboot since installing it ha hah!

Maybe I was a little confusing.

I dont have any back ups left. When I try to reinstall liberty it goes into bootloop every time.

Cant even get apex to reinstall.

No matter what when I sbf I come out with black bar and yellow liberty logos. SBF should bring me back to stock and it wont

Earlier u said u sbf'd with bootstrap, and rom manager. Thats not how u SBF. SBF with the sbf file, and rsdlite. Please explain in DETAIL what you are doing!

I am thoroughly confused as to what is going on here.
The liberty boot logo will remain as other have stated.

how can you not have any backups left?
How did you sbf with rom manager?

I would re-root, install boot strap and restore a backup

i had the same problem. i had already bought an app through the market, made by team blackhat. its called boot logo changer. i found the stock M logo and flashed it. it was the long way around but it did the job, especially after being unrooted and needing to root again to gain access:-\

what they are saying is to reroot, reflash the liberty rom... in the toolbox, there is an option to change boot logo,, just change it back to the stock moto logo... the flash back to sbf and unroot... you will be fine. or you can just install the moto logo with a .zip file... but will also have to be rooted and in clockwork mod... hope that helps...

fyi - i ran liberty and am now back to apex and i still get liberty boot logo... not worried about it right now
