I have not yet purchased the Incredible as of yet. Still doing my research on one more piece of functionality that I still don't understand if Incredible is able to do.

What I basically want is the Palm Pre Plus Synergy functionality with calendar events. What Palm does is pulls down your calendar events from various sources (gmail, exchange, etc...) and displays them all in one calendar. This allows you to actually see, for example, your work calendar, your personal calendar, and your volunteer work calendar all in one calendar view. This helps so much in getting a more realistic picture of your availability for other activities.
Does anyone know if the Incredible can do this (even if it requires a 3rd party application)?

I have my regular gmail personal account and then my business domain that is hosted with gmail (google apps), plus a 3rd gmail calendar that is used as a shared calendar with a volunteer work I take part in. Will the Incredible allow me to see all 3 calendars in one calendar view?

Thanks in advance for any assistance.

My calendar already does this by default. It has combined my Google, Exchange, and Local Phone calendars into one. I suspect it will even pull events out of Facebook as well, as they are linked.

Do you use just the default calendar and no additional apps?

Does it show all the events from the various calendars in one calendar?
Also, does it allow you to create an event and choose which calendar to save it in to?

thanks

I am in the same boat you are, wondering the same thing. I dug out the HTC manual from their website and I am pretty sure it said it would sync all your google calendars. I don't recall it saying anything about Facebook or other online sources, but I wasn't really looking. I'll get back in it and see what I see.

Looks like the manual says that you can sync only the calendars of your primary google account. I assume this also includes any calendars that you share with that calendar, so if all three of your google account calendars are shared to your primary google account, you should be able to view them. Then again, I am just like you so I don't know for sure.

There is also a section in the manual about synching online accounts, and the only accounts that it lists under calendar are google and Exchange.

Also, I see in the manual that only calendars created or shared online will be viewable from the device. So it sounds like you can't add new calendars from the device. You can add new events, but not new calendars.

Thanks Whitenack for doing that extra research.

So gang, basically it looks like at this point, the Incredible is not able to duplicate the functionality of the Palm Synergy Calendar. To understand what exactly I am talking about, please take a look at this YouTube Video.

Please don't mis-understand me--I really like the Incredible but, really wish is had this functionality. I am sure it will come soon--either in an application or an update to the operating system.

If I am overlooking something and the Incredible does indeed have this ability---please set me straight.
thanks to all of you for your feedback.
