About backups - should I leave them in SD card?

Hi,

I just unlocked, rooted and installed ARHD ROM. During the process I did a nandroid backup and copied the ARHD ROM to SD card. Now that I have installed them, should the backup and ROM still be in the ROM or can I copy it to a safe place and delete the stuff on the SD card?

They should auto save to the root of the sd card usually in a twrp folder or a clockworkmod folder. And keep at least one backup under any circumstance.

I keep the most recent back up on my phone and copy it to my pc. The roms I delete off my phone once I install them.

I always keep one nandroid and a copy of the Rom I'm using on my card always just in case anything happens. Hacking these phones as much as I do is bound to have something go wrong sooner or later lol.

That is true :)

I am going to keep at least one nandroid backup and a copy of the latest backup. (My nandroid backup (TWRP) is about 2.2GB, whereas ROM is 984MB)
 
You can make (as I do) a folder on the desktop, Rom backups and transfer all the TWRP backups to the folder and keep the recent backup on the phone as the last post says plus a rom to free up space. If you should ever want to try or go back to any other rom, just copy to the sd card , wipe and restore then without having to go thru the rom set up thing.
 
I like to have a backup on an external SD card in case something happens during traveling. There are On-The-Go (OTG) cables that connect to the mini usb port on the phone with a standard USB connector on the other end. Connect a USB memory stick or USB SD card reader (with and SD card, of course) and backup or copy backups to that. All backup apps support the external drive. I think it shows up as /storage/usb when you connect it. I have all my original "stuff" and Nandroid backups. I even use it for Titanium, Nova and Messages backup.
 
I keep the whole Nandroid Backul (System, Data, boot and everything) on the PC and I only keep system and boot on the device so they wouldn't take too much space.
