Well, lets hope that doesn't happen here.
I can't understand the hatred for any phone in a forum.... What's the point?

Well... DxO's methodology is counterproductive. They go through all this trouble of testing a phone's camera on several different levels with complex metrics to rate and score... then they boil it all down into one number that gives little to no context. Perhaps they do that to give marketing types a nice, small, digestible number they can put into promo materials.

Maybe is they changed it to an overall score...one score being the average score across the board. Similar to what Motor Trend or Car and Driver do for cars.

Its exactly the same as those other ratings... and equally meaningless. A simple two digit number is easy to understand, even though it actually falls pretty flat on its face when you try to compare two phones to each other.
