I'm about to get the Evo (FINALLY!) but I'm a little torn. As of now, according to their website, Radioshack has it for 179.99 for upgrades.

That's the lowest price I've come across for an upgrade. Should I wait until closer Christmas to get the Evo (For cheaper prices) or does anybody know of it being cheaper?

I'm only asking this because I know of someone who just recently got an Evo for 150.

Go somewhere with a price guarantee, then if you find it cheaper go back and ask for the difference back.

Best buy usually is the cheapest, they will price match and at least in the past if the price drops within 30 days of buying they would refund the difference, that may no longer be true.

Best Buy is a client of the company I work for. If you go to a Best Buy Mobile store, usually found in a mall, they will price match and beat any online or print price. This does not work at an acutal best buy store. I found the phone online at techdealdigger for 135 and the same on wirefly, they are now 99 bucks there.

I ended up getting my phone for 129, overnight shipping and the white version. You cant get much cheaper than that. Call the store first and let them know you are coming.

Best Buy only price matches a print Ad. However as i said in my above post, the BB Mobile store will price match online or print ads.

You got a gullible manager then, because the policies are the same for ALL best buys. I used to work there. I was a supervisor. Their policy is to not match online price unless there is a brick and mortar store within a certain distance (I think it's 25 miles) with the item in stock. Any good manager will check this and say no.

But it's worth a try. The worst they can say is no. :)

Im a regional sales manager for thier at home call center (teletech) and well aware of thier policies, thanks. I also train new agents as to policy and procedure. Best Buy Mobile takes ALL print and online ads, its a policy as of Sept 2010. Best Buy Brick and Mortar only matches print ads.

I wasn't trying to offend. My apologies. This is obviously a new policy (probably implemented because they aren't taking market share like they expected).

Wow so you can get wirefly prices without the downsides of wirefly? I wish I woulda known this 3 weeks ago when I switched to T-Mo from Sprint.

No offense taken, I too moved from TMO to sprint. Just a policy thats new and yall should take advantage of. :)
