About to leave Sprint for T-Mobile, need to install generic ROM on Galaxy S4

Any tips? I have done this kind of thing before, but not to this phone. Is there a good reference where to start? Before I activate on T-Mobile, I want to wipe the phone clean and install a new ROM without all of the Sprint stuff.

Device: SPH-L720
Android version: 4.4.2 not rooted
Carrier: Sprint
New Carrier: T-Mobile
Computers available: Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 (or could do ubuntu)
