Just wanted to know what the drawbacks will be? I know there are PLENTY OF PROS on this device. The only CONS that I should be worried about is its battery life, correct?

Although, there is one aspect I am truly confused with: This phone is 8GB, correct? But the Internal Storage is at 2.5GB? Although, I can add 32GB more is by inserting 32GB microSD card? So, if I took many pictures or added many wallpapers- can I transfer everything from there (Internal Storage) to this microSD card? But I know I CANNOT transfer Any newly added APPS to microSD card because it is designed to be used and to be stored in Internal Storage...

The phone has 8 GB internal, and comes with a 32 GB card when new. You can move some apps to the SD card. That is partly dependent on the app, and some apps may lose certain functions (widget use in the Jorte calendar app, for example).

If you are buying used, ask about the SD card.

How much of the 8 GB internal is available was an issue when the phone first came out. I have not rooted my TB, but I think you can root and get more of the 8 GB by eliminating bloatware.

Anyone? Can anyone please help me out with this. I just wanted to know, that is all. Thanx.
Patience? I've not heard of anyone complaining about filling up the internal storage with apps. That would be a TON of apps. All your pictures and music will be on the SD card. Storage for apps is not an issue.

The phone does not come with 8GB internal. That was a mistake announcement at launch. It only has 4GB.

I am back to my Bolt .... sent the Rezound back :( Rezound has no FM Radio & generic batteries will not charge in the phone .... that means if you running navigation, you better have a Rezound battery in it. Issues with some apps on the Rezound that run fine on my Bolt also.

Cheers :)

i bought the rezound too for $50 on upgrade, but we will see how it goes. i never run batteries other than oem anyways, so not an issue on the battery side for me, but what issues did you have with apps that were not running properly?

Stay away from the Thunderbolt. The thing has been a nightmare for me since I got mine 6 months ago. Please do yourself a huge favor and don't get a Thunderbolt.

All right. To answer above posters' questions:

1) Yes, I will be signing a two-years agreement. Now, how does that affects me the most? I am curious about that.

2) Uh... If YOU WERE ME... which phone would you choose beside Thunderbolt...?

3) BE HONEST WITH ME, PLEASE? (O:-)) How do you LIKE THUNDERBOLT? Really?

4) How is 4G? Is it the most reliable feature in Thunderbolt?

I've had the TB since release. With current stock GB, or the many aftermarket rom's, the only downside to this phone is the battery life.

I would merely suggest that you not use an upgrade on this phone, and lock yourself into a 2 year contract. Instead, there will be a flood of TB's on the used market, and the price will be driven below $200, including the 32gb sdcard that is worth at least $50.

Then,a year from now when you want a quad core phone running ICS, you will be able to upgrade. And probably able to get rid of the TB for $100. I see original htc incredibles going for $100 right now.

I've loved the Thunderbolt, but there are better phones out there now. If you're going to sign a 2 year contract I would go with another phone. You are going to have this phone for a while and the Thunderbolt is already ancient in phone terms. I personally am waiting for the Galaxy Nexus, but the Rezound looks good too.

I have had my tbolt since April and have loved it for the most part. The battery is weak specially since I came from a blackberry but rooting and using custom roms have kept me happy with it. If I had the option today I would use a upgrade on it though, o would definitely look at the nexus or the rezound. Both of those phones will have ICS if not right away eventually and have a better chance for updates later on than the tbolt.

Hmm. Rezound sounds more intriguing. Don't get me wrong about sounds aspect- I could less about that because I am deaf. So, I can discard sound quality/audio's capabilities like it means nothing to me.

But I am asking about Rezound as a whole itself. It is an excellent smartphone, right? In this case, it is much more worth to upgrade to this, not to Thunderbolt?

So, I can transfer pictures or wallpapers or anything from internal memory to my SD card? Or I can't do that?

Think of the Rezound as the Thunderbolt v.2 with many of the kinks worked out of it compared to the Thunderbolt: better battery life; better specs (cpu is dual-core); better software to deal with LTE (the LTE on Verizon is still of work-in-progress); HD screen.

That being said, I for one like the TB quite a bit. Many of software quirks (LTE etc) have been worked out (the Rezound benefits from this as well). The hardware isn't bad on the TB, but if you are using an upgrade, it is worth it to spend a little more and get the Rezound; or the Google Nexus for that matter.

If you aren't wanting to use your upgrade, than I believe the TB is a great device to buy used, for the price.

SD card is available on Rezound of TB for lots of stuff, and it is very easy to move data/apps around.

However, wallpaper, while it can be put on SD card, is usually preferred to be installed on internal memory. The SD card can sometimes a take a few extra seconds to be initialized on boot, and that cause the wallpaper to act a little funky if it is trying to load from SD card.

Well, that means you are locked into that phone for 2 years unless you want to pay full price for a new phone which can be $700+

I would personally wait for the NEXUS. It is going to have the latest OS (ICS = Ice Cream Sanwich) and it is the talk of the phone community

I love my TBolt. I won't be upgrading until next December after my 2 years ends. I won't be upgrading because the phone is horrible, I will be upgrading to get the latest thing. This will be the first phone in 7 years I will be keeping for the full contract. Yes, there was issues and problems with it, but, for the most part, HTC/Verizon has worked them out. There is always ROOTING and loading a custom ROM which is what I have been running for 3 months and have not had a single issue.

My only minor issue is the screen. They are known to crack easy if you drop them. I cracked mine (but have since got a new phone). I have heard people dropping them and nothing happening to them, then I have heard people barely dropping them and the screen cracking. But, if you have a good case, that shouldn't be too much of a problem.

4) How is 4G? Is it the most reliable feature in Thunderbolt?
Again, this was a issue early on. It really depends on where you are located in the country. I live in Silicon Valley and have not had an issue due to the PHONE being quirky. I have had issues with 4G because Verizon was having issues.

I use 4g during the day but switch to WiFi when I get home. It saves the battery.

The battery is probably the only downside to the TBolt. But you can install the ReZound battery and get better performance.
