So I went into the BB today where I pre-ordered to see what the deal was since I hadn't received my call. I was about 7 or 8 on the list so I'm kinda like wtf? So I stroll in and see a non-working display model and grab it instantly. So thin...and that camera bump is not NEARLY as intrusive as it appears to be in some photos. So a guy comes over and I ask about the X and that I pre-ordered. He said they've got FIVE in.....FIVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So the next question is will you be getting more in tomorrow and of course the answer is "we have no idea". By this time I want to beat this man without mercy...I can't even get my money back either.

Next step is to drive to the closest Verizon store and ask about inventory. I swear the only thing the lady knew was what time the store opened tomorrow. She didn't even know how much the phone was going to be. Am I supposed to know more than someone who get paid to work at verizon?!?!?!?

I am beyond pissed off right now. I might not even get the friggin' thing tomorrow. Someone say something to calm me before I go on a murderous rampage...leaving a wake of peaople wearing blue collared T-shirts behind me

In all seriousness, that sucks hard. I hate when companies take pre-orders that exceed their capacity. When did you pre-order? I really can't understand why BB would allow pre-order, then ship less than that number to the store.

Maybe you had an idiot at the store (not hard @ BB), and what he meant was that they have 5 beyond their pre-orders? God, I hope so. For your sake.

Ok I don't need people telling me "it's only a phone" I am fully aware of what this is about.

The fact of the matter is I have been planning on getting this phone for awhile. Now when I go into a place and am told "we don't have that many pre-orders so you will have your phone on the 15th" I expect to get it on the 15th. This is about the principle of going into a reputable business and being told something and then very rudely being told something else today. I have just tried calling other BB's since my rant and have been getting nothing but snotty employees at every location I call.

He actually said they had 5 phones today. So I'm hoping they get more in tomorrow. Knowing my luck if I'm #8 they'll get two phones in.

I mean really??? Five phones??? Why do they even do pre-orders. I would have rather them told me first come first serve and showed up at the store and waited.

I called and your store said they now have no inventory after selling the 5 they had to employees! ZOMG!1!!1

The preorder is just a $50 gift card isn't it? Just buy the phone at Verizon and buy your accessories at BB. Or sell the gift card on craigslist. Or keep it till christmas and give it as a gift.

look further up the supply chain if you have some issues, cuz I promise you that your local BB will do anything they can to get the phones they were alloted.

I never once suggested there was a 'conspiracy'...I just found out about this supposed employee thing when I read c4v's post. And please stop telling me 'it's just a phone' lol that last "murderous ramapge" comment I made was supposed to be a joke.

I am frustrated with BB...whether they have good intentions of getting me my phone ASAP is irrelevant. The employees need to be better versed on what the situation is before they start telling customers "you'll have your phone on the 15th". Had they done this I would have been looking for alternate means of getting my phone on launch day.

Sure it's easy for some of you to say "it's not the end of the world if you don't get it on launch day". I realize this...and although it will suck if I don't get it tomorrow...I'll have one soon (I hope). But look at the top of the forum....theres a damn COUNTDOWN with people frothing at the mouth to get this phone. Don't downplay your excitement to try and tell me it's not the end of the world or a big deal. On top of expecting and planning to get it tomorrow believe it or not I am also very excited. I hope BB gets a shipment in...

I got a refund on my Incredible pre-order when I ended up getting it direct from VZ instead. Or you can just use the gift card for another purchase at BB.
