Gosh, this reminds me of a cat I used to have when I lived in South Korea at one point (my mom used to work in the Foreign Service). I had this wonderful cat named Tux (he was a b/w tuxedo cat like yours, just with more black). Sadly we had an insane neighbor on the military base where we lived who hated Tux (his insane wife attempted to poison Tux with moth balls). They apparently were livid because Tux was eating their dog's food, but that is still not a reason to try and destroy my family's cat. They went as far as taking Tux to the other end of the military base thinking he was stupid, but Tux was so smart he found his way back home in a few weeks even though said military base was a labyrinth by cat standards. Then it turned out that non-military families couldn't own pets (we weren't told this when we got Tux) and my mom had to RETURN Tux to the pet shelter in order to not get fired. My mom tried to hide this from me (she said he was "missing", because she didn't want to upset me) but then when I caught her discussing it with someone on the phone I made her confess. I blew up into rage and spent the next year doing EVERYTHING in my power to make her quit that stupid job that took away a cat I loved so much.
