My latest addition I got from the shelter, my Ginger and white cat I named Missyboo, seen here with her buddy, my son's cat, Captain Fuzzibutt. I took this picture of her on my lap for only the second time.

She'd been a denizen of the shelter for 4 months. I could tell be the way she shied away and avoided contact that she'd previously been mistreated, and they were thinking of putting her with the barn cats. It has taken months to get her relatively social, but every day marks a little more progress. The first couple of times I tried to pick her up, she completely freaked. She's still not a big fan, but baby steps are getting her to be more trusting.

Captain Fuzzibutt was also a shelter kitty, and while he wasn't a big fan of Missyboo, they've become good friends.

Oh I am so delighted you have Missyboo!! They look so cosy. It does take time. Bubbles and Albie were abused. Albie was still young so he adapted quickly. But he still won'tet me pick him up. Bubbles took longer and he is still wary of strangers. But he is so loving with me now and snuggles up. It takes patience and time but my gosh it is so rewarding!!

Buddy is such a goofball! Laying on his back on our bed last night, totally not wanting attention.

I nominate "Captain Fuzzibutt" for the Kitty Name Hall of Fame. 🤣

So I got number 10 a couple of days ago. He is called Tiger is a day younger than Frizzles and Snerd and is Sooty's uncle. My friend had to re-home him and I didn't want him going to a rescue shelter. He is settling in slowly with the others. He was overwhelmed at first. They are all still growling. But it has only been a few days. Welcome to Tiger

My son still never came up with a name. Almost callee him Ricky Bobby, because he gets the zoomies and tears through the apartment like his tail is on fire, but he'll run into the wall, and I would announce, "And it's number 86, Ricky Bobby, going into the wall in turn 4..."
