Seems like a great device.

As expected based on initial impression, this looks like a solid phone. Agree with Andrew on HTC sense​ being stale and outdated in looks. It's simple and performs for sure but would have liked to see HTC modernize the look a little. I just can't wait my pre order to arrive, please ship the phone soon HTC

Almost everybody online seems to change the theme or add a launcher so I can't see it as an issue but I can understand where you all are coming from

Personally I use Nova launcher after few weeks with a phone, don't like themes since my experience is they introduce some stutters, lag and I'm very sensitive to lag

But still I like to see more modern UI across sense UI.

HTC Sense UI reminds me of the Google's Pixel UI. Basic and just has the needed features. However, I do not consider HTC apps or Samsung apps in Samsung Phones as bloatware. In fact, few of the Samsung apps in S8 like the Calendar, Samsung Internet, Samsung Files are really good compared to others/Googles. Those unique things OEM add differentiates the phones from the rest, so calling them bloatware would not be appropriate. I would however consider the apps OEMs are forced to add or let carriers add as bloatware.

I agree! I think it's funny how the pixel software loos almost identical as sense but gets a free pass but HTC sense gets criticism lol. Double standard for Google.

I also like Pixel XL a lot, and don't think Google gets a free pass. Everyone likes Pixel because it's so smooth but also everyone who uses knows the software is boring and not filled with features. And that's what attracts people to Pixel, boring simple software, smooth, first to get updates etc. They now got a great camera as well. I also understand majority don't like Pixel because of it's boring software, outdated look and majority don't care about software updates. They like Samsung, LG etc because they are filled with features or gimmicks however you want to look at it. U 11 probably is some where in between, not boring but has some great features ( although feel it'll help if sense gets a fresh coating at this point). My guess is U11 attracts more of the Pixel crowd than the LG, Samsung crowd.

I've never used Sense UI, so I cannot comment on its quality... But I do look forward to trying it out!
