Access phone via drive letters

My phone originally showed up as a device in Windows. After I rooted it, it showed up as 2 drive letters (sd card, internal memory).

I had to reset my phone. I rooted it (using same 1 click method). Now it is still showing as a device.

I really prefer it to show as a drive as I can sync files rather than just copy everything. Anyone know how to get it back to shows as usb drive rather than a device?

Nothing has changed on the Windows PC (as far as I can tell).

Okay- I figured this out in case anyone else is interested.

It turns out it has nothing to do with rooting directly. If you turn on USB debugging under settings->Applications->development it will show up as drives instead of a device.
