Accessibility(?) is On and I can't turn it Off.

Folks in this thread seem to think it's due to the phone detecting (in your case falsely) that there's a pointing device connected via USB. Have you already tried cleaning out your USB port?

I don't have anything attached to the phone. We were in the car earlier this evening and I was unable to place any calls on my phone while it was connected to the car via BT. When we got to our destination is when I discovered the problem.
And it just gets worse...I've found myself in Airplane mode and no mic option on the keyboard. ugh!

"you may have Universal Switch turned on. Reboot your device, press the Home button three times (that should temporarily disable that pesky blue box preventing you from clicking stuff, and then go to Settings > Accessibility >> Dexterity and Interaction >Universal switch and disable it."

Since Airplane Mode is on, I can't do anything by voice. I rebooted and pressed the Home button three times to no avail. I'd love nothing more than to get rid of the pesky blue box! LOL When I painstakingly tap each letter three times to type a command, I'm now getting, "check your network connection".

I can't navigate via voice any longer since I somehow managed to turn on Airplane mode. WTH is going on?!

OK, I've managed to get into settings using the 2-finger swiping method. Maybe I'm getting somewhere now. I'll check all your suggestions and let you guys know. Thanks for all your help!

Universal Switch is not on as far as I can tell. It doesn't have an on/off slider and was giving me details on how to enable it.

Finally, success! Went back into Accessibility and then Advanced Settings/Bixby Vision for Accessibility...OFF! Thanks for taking the time to help!

Excellent! Glad you managed to fix it and thanks for the follow up.

That's great! I notice that this is a pretty common question throughout various forums, without any definite answer, so I'll have to keep this in mind. Nice work!

So this sound like something that is happening on it's own (nothing the user is doing)? My husband was the last one to use my phone when this started. He kept apologizing, thinking he's the one that messed it up. I kept telling him it was fine, it's ok, no problem, I'll fix it (as smoke was coming out of my ears!) LOL
