Hi folks, I don't have a pixel yet (note 8) and wondered if someone with the decide could do me a favour to check something for me?

In settings/accessibility then switch on magnification with the tap button to magnify button. Is the performance of the phone impacted at all and are any features switched off by enabling this option?

I have low vision and on my note use the s pen as a magnifier when my eyes are tired. But I can't use the built in magnification because on the note when it is enabled features such as always on display hey switched off and the performance in general gets worse. I wondered if that's a Samsung thing or if it's android in general?

If I get a pixel I would need to have the magnification option available. I would use it all the time but would need it occasionally

Thanks for any help!

Just tried it for you and I didn't notice any performance issues. Tap 3 times to magnify works.

You can also adjust display and text size on these phones if you want to leave everything big without having to tap.

Thats great, really appreciate the help. Did you always on display remain on too? On my Samsung it gets switched off which is a shame. Tempted to pull the trigger on an XL...
