Accessing a device over android device manager after a password change?

I have a galaxy s7 that has been locked with Google's Android device manager. Since then my Google password has changed so the device still shows that it has been locked, but cannot sign into Google play services and hence doesn't show up on the admin website. Is there any way to connect the device and restore access?

Welcome to Android Central! Do you have the phone in front of you, or is it still lost? If it's in front of you, you should be able to enter the PIN or password that you had set for the phone.
